Building livable communities across Oregon

A task force established by the 2009 Legislature recommended legislation in February that would direct Oregon's six major metro areas to develop plans to broaden transportation choices for Oregonians across the state while meeting greenhouse-gas reduction targets. 1000 Friends of Oregon and the Oregon Environmental Council skillfully represented the conservation community on the task force and led the effort to help pass this bill.
