Oregon House passes bill to build livable communities

February 10 The Oregon House today voted 31-27 to pass Senate Bill 1059, which will assist Oregon's major metro areas in developing healthy, climate-friendly transportation plans.
The bill, which incorporates the recommendations of a task force that the 2009 legislature established, was one of the Oregon Conservation Network's three Priorities for a Healthy Oregon this session. It is now headed to the governor's desk.
