Oregon Senate votes to help cities become healthier, more climate-friendly

February 10 Senate Bill 1059, which would assist Oregon's major metro areas in developing healthy, climate-friendly transportation plans, passed the Oregon Senate today on a 17-13 vote.
The bill, which incorporates the recommendations of a task force that the 2009 legislature established, is one of the Oregon Conservation Network's three Priorities for a Healthy Oregon this session. It will now head to the House for a final vote.
