Media Advisory: Summer Conversation Series
The Oregon League of Conservation Voters Education Fund to host series of forums to connect Representative Brian Clem and his constituents on environmental concerns
Marion County—Starting next week on July 20, the Oregon League of Conservation Voters Education Fund will host three forums in Marion County for community members to connect with Representative Brian Clem on key environmental issues. (See below for dates, times and locations.)
All community members are encouraged to attend and participate. Each of the three conversations will focus on only one topic. The three topics covered in the series will be:
- Job creation through the use of renewable energy made in the USA
- Reducing Oregonians’ exposure to dangerous toxics
- Balanced growth that protects our communities in the wake of the BP disaster
These issues top the list of environmental concerns for Oregonians. The forums will each be one-hour conversations facilitated by respected community leaders and featuring topic-relevant experts from partner groups: 1000 Friends of Oregon, Environment Oregon, The Oregon Environmental Council, and The Renewable Northwest Project.
